Here are a few easy steps to follow to make sure you are making the best choice.
1. Visit the company's website and see who they are affiliated with
2. Visit the website for the Better Business Bureau for a free company report CLICK HERE
3. Visit the website for Angie's List to see what other people are reporting (membership required) -Great service to consumers. Highly Recommended!!! Angie's List uses the category of HEATING & A/C.
4. Visit the Department of Licensing website to make sure the company has a current license to operate in Texas ( you will need the company's license number for this step - it is suppose to be posted on all advertising ) CLICK HERE
5. Visit the Department of Licensing website to see what possible violations are listed ( you will need the company's license # for this step ) CLICK HERE
6. Visit Google Map to make sure you are working with an established business which has a true office. If a company is just working out of a PO box or someone's house, ask more questions. You want to prepare yourself JUST IN CASE there is an issue with the equipment you are about to purchase. You want to make sure you can get in touch with the business that did the original work. If all you have is a PO box number, you might not have any luck tracking the company down. You can click on the "Street View" feature to look at the building
