Joyce & Dennis Mollgaard were pioneers when they opened their business. They offered their clients things that other companies only read about, like:
-warranties longer than just 90 days
-maintenance agreements
-employee drug screenings
-employee background screenings
-shoe coverings on work boots to keep floors clean
-one flat rate for all quoted repairs and installs
Many of the practices that are rather standard for the larger companies now a days were implemented in their corporate culture of their business over 25 years ago.
By hiring talented and hard working employees and by staying focused on doing the right thing for the customer at all times, Mr. & Mrs. Mollgaard laid the ground work for one of the most reputable service companies in San Antonio.
The Second Generation
To help carry on their initial vision, they invited their son, Dennis Mollgaard, Jr., to join them in 1989. Recently graduated from Texas A&M, Dennis Jr. was eager to learn the trade and to grow their business.

The New Look for The New Millineum
When the new millineum arrived, the Mollgaards realized that times were changing and clients were needing more than equipment that simply heated or simply cooled their homes. Clients were needing solutions for high utility bills. Clients were searching for answers on why their homes were uncomfortable. Clients needed to know how to remove all the uncomfortable humidity. And lastly, clients needed help to address the growing concern of indoor air pollution and contamination. With all the different issues that homeowners and business owners were facing, clients wanted someone to count on for effective solutions.
To be able to offer those solutions, many other aspects of a building, other than the heating and cooling system, must be taken into consideration. To be able to control the utility bills, the comfort level of each room, how comfortable and how safe the indoor air really is, Tiger Services evaluates all of the elements that affect the building's indoor environment.
-how well are the windows constructed
(high efficient replacement windows)
-how the attic and wall insulation is holding up
(attic insulation installation)
-how well the air ducts are sealed
(air duct inspections and sealing)
-if solar screens are installed on windows
(solar screen installation)
-how much fresh air is brought indoors each hour

(whole house air purification & filtration systems)
The New Commitment & The New Name
So, in an effort to expand the services offered, Tiger Services has taken on the responsibility of offering other helpful services other than just repairing, maintaining and installing heating and cooling systems. The new millineum ushered in the new commitment of Tiger Services to their clients to offer effective solutions for their concerns.
At the same time, the Mollgaards decided to change their business name from Air Alamo Service to Tiger Services. With their new image and their new focus, they were ready to move into the next generation of CONDITIONING indoor air, not just heating and cooling it. Air Alamo Service, Inc. remains the corporate name.

The business keeps growing...

Since my parents started the company, we have installed well over 15,000 heating & cooling systems. I'm humbled to realize the number of people we have served over the years.
I still remember when the offices were based out of our home in the Colonies North Subdivision. My dad was running service calls and installing equipment. My mom was answering the phones and taking care of the office work.
Today - with an excellent team of dedicated service technicians and installers, we have over 5,000 clients that count on us each season to keep them comfortable and safe.
